Front cover

This is my front cover for my music magazine. I have followed the house style of pink, blue and yellow. I chose these colours as they're bright and stand out on the news stand also because of my research it stood out to me that bright colours were often used on pop music magazines and therefore I wanted to reflect those ideas into mine. The word 'exclusive' is a red font with a black outline, I did this to make the word stand out against the splash. I also did the masthead with an outline so the words 'exclusive' and the magazine are linked together making it clear that the magazine has exclusive content.

 

On the splash I have included a flash to promote 6 free posters because again in my research it was evident that flashes and free offers were used on pop magazine front covers. Another flash has also been added to include the price, I did this after looking at 'Top of The Pops' magazine front cover who'd also included a similar style flash.

 

I have included a barcode at the bottom of the page, the barcode gives the magazine a more professional feel and is also personalised to the magazine as a barcode is often used to give information about the magazine.

 

 

On the splash I have included names of artists who are also established pop artists. The use of 'Conor Maynard' on the skyline stands out the most and therefore assosiating pop artists with the pop magazine.
